Swing Bridge to Beauty Point

I have been trying to get a good photo of an adult Grey Butcherbird but they have not been all that cooperative. This one insisted on sitting with its back to me when I trided to photograph it.

Brown Cuckoo Doves are around at the moment. They usually come around for the Tobacco Bush fruit but they don't seem to be interested in them at this stage. The couple I have seen have been down on the tracks picking up minute morsels of food or gizzard stones. I have seen them doing this on tar-sealed roads and I have no idea whatt they are picking up.

A very active Willie Wagtail attracted my attention this morning. It was chasing insects in the sunlight so I had a shot at getting it with its tail fanned out. This is the best attempt of around 30 photographs.

I heard White-throated Treecreepers several times this morning but mostly they were very high on the tree trunks. I actually thought that I had missed this one and was pleasantly surprised when I got it on the computer. This one is a female - by the orange patch on the neck.
