Snapper Point, Munmorah State Conservation Area
We went out to Snapper Point to give the grandkids a bit of exercise (keeping them away for technology for a while) so there was not a lot of opportunity for bird photography. A Brahminy Kite put in an appearance for a while.
it is always nice to see these birds flying around here. They are not common this far down the coast, but in the last few weeks there have been a number of sightings both here and at Myuna Bay. I wonder if they are the same birds. (Catherine Wroe told me that she had seen 3 at Myuna Bay)
The Kite did not have the skies to itself. The local family of White-bellied Sea Eagles also put in an appearance here I was hoping that I would be able to get them in the same frame and the Brahminy Kite but no luck.
There were at least three White-bellied Sea Eagles I think. There was one immature and I think that I sighted two adults. It was near the end of our time there and we the grandkids were feeling the pull of technology a bit.
