A One Bird Walk!

Actually I saw more than one bird on this walk to Beauty Point but I only kept one photograph. This beautiful Yellow Thornbill was among a flock of little birds that included Silvereyes, Grey Fantails, other Thornbills (possibly a Striated), and Varied Sittellas. They are all active little birds and hard to photograph. The Yellow Thornbill stood out because of its bright yellow colour.

The flock was active at around 9am in a sunny area on the bank of Dora Creek. Unlike a lot of flocks of small active birds, this flock remained in the same set of trees for about 15 minutes. (I usually find that after about 5 minutes these little flocks scatter and either fly off together to a distant destination, or scatter. Either way they are difficult to follow.)
