Not many birds around at the moment and the opportunities for walking were limited due to weather and other activities. However it was nice to see an old friend, the Buff-banded Rail in the usual place near the start of the Sandy Creek Walk. I have often seen them here in the past and they have brought up a family here a couple of years ago. They are furtive birds though and difficult to approach, so it going to be a game of patience to get a good photo.
